Macy’s holiday window display is apparently rather steampunk-inspired this year.
There is murmur among the steampunk community that the aesthetic is being co-opted, but honestly, I think these windows are lovely. It’s not the usual steampunk—it’s a fairy fantastical marionette take on the style, and I like what they’ve done with it.
